Job summary

John H. Carter Company, Inc. in Louisiana seeks an experienced outside sales professional to lead municipal and industrial equipment solutions. You will respond promptly to inquiries, align activities with BU goals, and coordinate complex quotes and service coordination to win accounts.

Travel within the service territory is required. A minimum 5+ years in outside sales for water/wastewater equipment is preferred; engineering background is a plus. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of outside sales experience in municipal/industrial equipment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of water and/or wastewater systems and instrumentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred; technical knowledge may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and principal sites as required.
• Respond to calls, messages, and emails promptly and professionally.
• Align sales activities with BU goals and strategic objectives.
• Support inside teams with complex quotes, orders, and project coordination.
• Collaborate with sales resources on corporate initiatives and trade shows.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and support product/service teams.
