Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Some experience in water distribution, sewer collections, street maintenance, construction, or public works.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate construction and utility equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor.
• Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies when on call.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, repair, and maintenance of streets, water distribution, and wastewater collection systems.
• Operate and maintain light and heavy equipment such as backhoes and loaders.
• Inspect and maintain water lines, sewer systems, and storm drains.
• Report hazards such as potholes, water leaks, or fallen signs.
