Job summary

LCWSD seeks a Utility Worker to assist with maintenance, repair, and installation of water and sewer lines under general supervision. The role includes manual labor, tool transport, locating utilities, and operating a forklift.

An on-call after-hours schedule may be required. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license (Class A preferred), and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds frequently.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and install water and sewer lines, pipes, valves, and related equipment.
• Transport tools and materials to and from job sites; set up cones and flags for safety.
• Probes and identifies underground utilities; communicates location with crew.
• Operate and maintain equipment; assist with work orders as needed; on-call after hours.
