Job summary

Grand Blanc Township is seeking a Water/Sewer Service Technician to maintain and repair the municipality’s water and sewer infrastructure, buildings, and grounds. The role requires operating a range of heavy equipment and performing winter snow/ice removal, with 24/7 on‑call availability as needed.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with CDL Class A, and Michigan Water Operator Certification (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License with CDL Class A (or ability to obtain) and DOT compliance.
• State of Michigan Water Operator Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Experience in public works or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair water and sewer infrastructure, buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Operate heavy and light equipment and perform snow and ice removal.
• Complete daily work orders documenting time, labor, and materials.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in on‑call rotation.
