Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a reliable Wastewater Maintenance Technician to join our team in Brownstown, MI. You’ll read blueprints and specifications, perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, and document work in the CMMS.

Travel between sites and on-call availability are required. Two or more years of electrical or mechanical maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and OSHA electrical qualification are expected.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Possession of a valid State Driver’s License with no major infractions.
• Electrically Qualified as defined by OSHA; CWEA/MWEA Level 1 Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, maintains and repairs wiring and lighting systems, electrical control equipment, meters, outlets, and panels.
• Establishes and maintains scheduled electrical maintenance program for the plant's equipment.
• May repair electrical and electronic instruments.
• Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and prevent recurrences.
• Maintains maintenance records and prepares reports in CMMS.
• Travel between work locations as required; on-call availability.
