Job summary

Montgomery County is seeking an entry-level Field Services Worker to assist in the operation of sewer and water maintenance equipment and participate in construction and repair tasks. You will receive training and work under supervision on a range of trucks and hydraulic tools, supporting installation, maintenance, and restoration activities in municipal water and sewer assets.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1 year of manual labor or construction experience; DOT medical exam required.
Preferred: 1 year of sewer or water systems construction and maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Assist in operating equipment for water and sewer asset construction and maintenance.
Assist with hydraulic tools, water loss, smoke/dye, and data gathering equipment.
Help set up work plans and daily crew tasks; participate in installation, maintenance, or replacement of lines and components.
Provide on-site safety for crew and public; assist in restoration work (pavement, concrete, manholes, lawns).
Respond to on-site customer complaints; prepare daily records and reports; perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance.
