Job summary

The City of Aurora is hiring a Water Services Specialist to provide field support and customer service for contractors and Aurora Water employees. You will oversee testing of new water lines, line disinfection, flushing, and sampling while maintaining meticulous records and compliance with policies.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of three years in water distribution, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of water utility maintenance experience preferred.
• Driver’s license with good driving history required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees testing related to new water lines.
• Oversees line disinfection, flushing, pressure tests and sampling.
• Maintains records in INFOR, OneBook, AMANDA, etc.
• Provides customer service to contractors and customers.
• Reads charts and maps and interprets blueprints and drawings.
• Ensures compliance with Aurora Water policies and AWWA standards.
