Job summary

HDR's Water Business Group seeks a Professional Services Director who will align technical practice across the matrix organization, strengthen delivery capabilities, and advance standards to improve project performance.

You will lead QA/QC activities, mentor teams, manage risk, and partner with program and project delivery services to pursue strategic initiatives and complex programs. HDR offers employee ownership, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities across many locations.

Qualifications

• Maintains a professional engineering registration with extensive related technical expertise.
• Extensive experience in leadership and management of professional services, program management, project delivery, and related delivery services.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop diverse technical, professional, and service delivery teams.
• Strong collaboration with company leadership, operations managers, and marketing leaders on delivery-related initiatives.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, quality control, risk management, and continuous improvement in delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor the development and training of staff in technical, professional, business, and service delivery competencies.
• Coordinate and monitor staff training in company policies and processes including technical, business, ethical, safety, HR, risk, and technology areas.
• Lead QA and QC program activities to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met.
• Monitor project delivery QC reviews and resolve issues effectively.
• Support recruiting, staffing, and development of key staff within the group.
