Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Business Group Right of Way Director to lead program development and implementation of HDR's Right of Way services. The role collaborates with market sector leaders, clients, and technical staff to raise HDR’s market penetration and deliver high-quality results across multiple geographies.

The position emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture, with significant travel and a broad geographic impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional registration (Architect/Engineer) or related.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Ability to collaborate with business class directors, operations managers and marketing staff.
• Commitment to quality, HDR values and employee ownership culture.

Responsibilities

• Project and Program Support: serve as technical focal point for the WBG to deliver Right of Way services to clients and to foster alliances within the WBG.
• Marketing and Business Development: support Market Sector Directors to develop strategic visions and drive opportunities across geographies and service areas.
• Technical Staff Development and Alignment: recruit, mentor and align staff; stay current on industry practices and share knowledge with technical teams.
