Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore is seeking a Water Technician to monitor, inspect, and complete water restoration tasks, including drying, demolition, and documenting work for insurance reimbursement. You will explain processes to customers and prepare notes, photos, and reports in line with company policies.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and strong communication and customer service skills. Prior restoration experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the restoration or construction industry preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Experience using mobile software to enter data.
• Able to read and follow product label usage instructions.
• Punctual with neat, complete uniform.
• Ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves work orders and checks route for travel; ensures equipment and supplies are loaded.
• Explains processes used to complete active jobs and next steps to customers in person using printed materials.
• Completes assigned jobs following company processes while maintaining quality control.
• Performs water damage repair including water extraction, packing out contents, and light demolition as directed.
• Ensures equipment, supplies, vehicles, and products are properly handled; reports issues to supervisor.
• Inspects jobs after completion, obtains customer signatures, and requests payments when necessary.
• Monitors and tasks on assigned water jobs with urgency for residential/commercial clients.
• Adjusts the drying plan daily based on meter readings.
• Resolves customer issues and communicates job activities with supervisor.
• Prepares documentation and photos to ensure insurance reimbursement.
