Job summary

ServiceMaster by Haven Restoration Group seeks a Water Restoration Technician to monitor and complete drying, demolition and restoration tasks. You will prepare notes, photos and documents to ensure reimbursement from insurance companies and explain progress to customers in person.

The role requires safe operation of equipment, attention to detail, and timely communication with supervisors. Training and uniform are provided as part of this full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred experience in restoration.
• Good verbal and written communication with customers and team.
• Comfort using mobile devices to enter data and update job notes.
• Ability to read product label usage instructions and follow safety guidelines.
• Punctual, reliable, able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Certifications such as WRT or ASD are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves work orders, checks route for travel, loads equipment, and arrives on site.
• Explain processes to customers using printed materials and supervisor guidance.
• Completes jobs per company processes while maintaining quality control.
• Performs water damage repair including extraction, pack-out, and light demolition.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor and ensures safe operation.
• Inspects jobs after completion and obtains customer signatures for payment requests.
• Monitors daily drying plan and meter readings on residential/commercial sites.
• Resolves customer issues and communicates status to supervisor and key staff.
• Prepares documentation and photos to support insurance reimbursements.
