Job summary

SERVPRO is seeking a Water Restoration/Mitigation Technician to complete water, fire, smoke, and mold mitigation jobs per work orders, respond to service calls, and ensure safe, efficient job flow.

You will perform moisture readings, operate drying equipment, document progress, and coordinate with supervisors and other technicians to maintain production. This role requires a high school diploma, ability to travel, on-call weekends, and a valid US work authorization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Experience in cleaning/restoration preferred.
• IICRC certifications and/or previous fire/water/mold property restoration experience preferred.
• Docusketch experience preferred.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver's license, approved by our insurance company, preferred.
• Ability to travel locally or out of state when necessary.
• Must be able to work in person and travel to job sites as needed. Available for weekend and after-hours on-call rotation.
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and able to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Complete jobs according to SERVPRO processes per work order, performing production work and completing job documentation.
• Perform and evaluate mitigation/restoration activities including water extraction, fire damage cleanup, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment and document moisture readings and daily progress.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and supplies for each project.
• Prepare rooms and areas for work activities; set up staging areas and equipment for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, jobsite findings, and equipment/tool requirements to supervisors.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Work as a team to provide quality and efficient work and perform production processes as directed.
• Perform end‑of‑day and end‑of‑job cleanup and breakdown, leaving the jobsite clean and orderly.
• Resolve problems quickly as they arise.
• Follow and enforce all safety procedures on the job site.
• Learn and develop mitigation/restoration skills to elevate the SERVPRO brand and grow within the company.
• Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, warehouse, and office areas.

Job Description

The Mitigation Technician completes water, fire, smoke, and mold mitigation jobs according to SERVPRO processes per work order. Physical Demands

• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Repetitive pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of objects throughout the day.
• Walking and standing for long periods, as well as driving, sitting, and climbing.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights.
• Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces under buildings and attics).
• Exposure to chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise.
• Occasional exposure to extreme conditions such as heat, cold, and noxious odors.
• Required to occasionally wear a respirator and other PPE.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform demanding tasks throughout the day.

Job Type

• Full‑time, up to 40 hours per week.
• On‑call.

Salary: $18–$22 / hour, pending experience.
