Job summary

ServiceMaster of South Shore Inc in New York is seeking a Water Restoration Technician to monitor, inspect and complete water restoration tasks, ensuring drying and demolition activities meet policy requirements. You will prepare notes, photos and documents for insurance reimbursements and explain steps to customers using printed materials.

The role requires loading equipment, maintaining quality control on each job, and communicating with supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License with satisfactory driving record.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with mobile data entry is a plus.
• Certifications preferred: WTR, ASD (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect and complete water restoration tasks including drying and demolition.
• Prepare and review notes, photos and documents for insurance reimbursement.
• Explain processes and next steps to customers using printed materials.
• Load equipment and supplies, ensure readiness for job site.
• Maintain quality control on each job and report issues to supervisor.
• Inspect and obtain customer signatures, request payments when appropriate.
• Perform daily monitoring of assigned water jobs at residential/commercial sites.
• Adjust drying plan based on meter readings and site conditions.
• Communicate updates to supervisor and key staff; coordinate with team.
• Prepare documentation and pictures per policy for reimbursements.
