Job summary

SERVPRO - Team SPG is seeking a Water Restoration Crew Chief/Assistant Project Manager to lead a mitigation crew on water, fire and mold remediation projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high standards.

You will supervise extraction, structural drying, and remediation work, document moisture readings, coordinate with customers and management, and uphold SERVPRO processes from start to finish. This role requires in-person work and occasional weekend/on-call duty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of water/fire mitigation experience.
• IICRC WRT or similar certification preferred.
• Knowledge of drying equipment and moisture documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and strong customer service skills required.
• Must be able to work in person and travel to job sites; weekend and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the mitigation crew on water, fire, smoke, and mold remediation projects.
• Perform and supervise water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and remediation production work.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment and accurately document moisture readings and daily progress.
• Manage and complete jobs according to SERVPRO processes per work order, monitoring assigned jobs from start to finish.
• Respond to service calls, set up and establish efficient job flow, and coordinate requirements for each job.
• Communicate clear expectations to production technicians and supervise their activities and quality of work.
• Explain processes and answer customer questions, establishing relationships with commercial, insurance, and residential customers.
• Monitor, communicate, and respond to customer needs and concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain continuous communication with internal parties, including the Job File Coordinator and management.
• Identify safety hazards, communicate them, and establish control measures to ensure safety.
