Job summary

Christopher B. Burke Engineering LLC (Burke) is seeking an experienced Water Resources Project Manager to lead and grow water resources projects from our Indianapolis office.

You will manage hydrologic and hydraulic modeling efforts, coordinate technical teams, and serve as the primary client contact to ensure quality work and on-time delivery. Ideal candidates bring a Civil Engineering degree and a strong background in water resources, modeling software (HEC-RAS, SWMM, HY-8), and GIS tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience managing multiple water resources projects concurrently.
• Experience serving as client contact and coordinating project teams.
• Strong understanding of water resources engineering and hydraulic/hydrologic design.
• Proficiency in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software and GIS tools.
• Experience mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage water resources projects within the Engineering Department, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling efforts.
• Produce technical reports and oversee project planning, tracking, scope and change management, risk mitigation, and QA across teams.
• Serve as primary client contact for projects under supervision; develop proposals and ensure budgets and schedules are met.
• Oversee technical work (studies, calculations, models, reports) and coordinate with subconsultants and internal teams.
• Mentor department staff and support staff development; stay current with water resources regulations and industry standards.
