Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. invites applications for a Water Resources Project Engineer, PE to support municipal stormwater projects and watershed studies. The role emphasizes hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, plan development, and design support to protect infrastructure and improve communities.

The candidate will collaborate with project managers and engineers across offices, contributing to design computations, preliminary layouts, and cost estimates while pursuing professional licensure advancement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Biosystems Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E).
5–10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, including hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8, and GIS.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed design computations.
Conduct preliminary layout, modeling, and design.
Research and prepare rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
Assist with project design and preparation of plans and specifications, and prepare cost and quantity take‑off estimates.
Assist with plan reviews, storm‑water pollution prevention plans, design of storm‑water facilities, storm‑water detention and retention design, water‑quality design, and storm‑water management planning.
