Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a Water Resources Project Engineer to support design and construction phases of municipal stormwater projects, stream and wetland restoration, and watershed studies.

The role focuses on technical water-resources engineering, including hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, stormwater system design, and plan development to protect infrastructure and improve community quality of life. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Biosystems Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, including hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8, and GIS.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design computations.
• Conduct preliminary layout, modeling, and design.
• Research and prepare rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Assist with project design and preparation of plans and specifications, and prepare cost and quantity take‑off estimates.
• Assist with plan reviews, storm‑water pollution prevention plans, design of storm‑water facilities, storm‑water detention and retention design, water‑quality design, and storm‑water management planning.
