Job summary

Souder, Miller & Associates is recruiting a Project Engineer I/III for our Water Resources department in Albuquerque, NM. A bachelor’s/master’s degree and a minimum of 4 years in water resources are required; NM PE license within 6 months is preferred.

The role involves planning, design, construction administration, and observation of water systems, wells, lift stations, and treatment facilities, with responsibilities for budgets, schedules, and client coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science (required).
• Minimum 4–8 years of post‑graduate experience in water resources.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor budgets for assigned projects; manage profitability.
• Monitor work-in-process, client billings, AR, and collections for projects.
• Develop project and team schedules; forecast workload for staff.
• Prepare/modify reports, plans, specifications, schedules, studies and designs.
