Job summary

American Water in Lexington, Kentucky seeks an Engineering Project Delivery Manager (Water Resources) to lead a team of engineers and project managers responsible for capital investment programs across production networks and water resources.

You will oversee budgets and schedules, drive delivery efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with operations to align projects with asset needs. A civil engineering degree and 4+ years in engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in the Engineering function of a large organization.
• Experience with Water or Wastewater utility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and project managers to monitor budgets and schedules for CIM projects.
• Drive efficiency in project delivery through delivery metrics and procurement approaches.
• Deliver capital projects within CIM scope to meet asset needs.
• Ensure asset owner satisfaction and coordinate with operations on project impacts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory criteria, specifications and standards.
• Interact with property groups and agencies to obtain permits and approvals.
