Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Geological Engineering, Civil or Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or closely related field.
• Five or more years of relevant professional experience in groundwater, hydrogeology, hydrology, water resources, SGMA planning and implementation, or related technical consulting.
• Demonstrated understanding of groundwater systems and hydrogeologic principles.
• Experience with SGMA or comparable groundwater management work.

Responsibilities

• Lead SGMA planning and implementation, including GSPs, Alternatives, and annual reports.
• Evaluate groundwater and water resource conditions using hydrogeologic data and climate information.
• Advance watershed resilience and climate adaptation efforts with integrated water resources data.
• Develop and evaluate nature-based and groundwater sustainability solutions.
• Lead grant applications and funding strategies for groundwater and water projects.
• Direct multidisciplinary technical work and review analyses for quality and defensibility.
• Produce and QA/QC complex water resources planning documents and studies.
• Develop water supply and demand forecasting models using Excel-based tools.
• Manage projects and client relationships across multiple concurrent assignments.
• Plan and facilitate community and governing body engagement related to water resources.
