Job summary

MBC Talent Connections seeks a Water Resources Project Manager to lead groundwater and water resources projects in California, from planning through implementation. You will own project management and technical direction, focusing on SGMA compliance and water budgeting.

You will guide teams, manage schedules and budgets, and develop presentations for diverse audiences while advancing client relationships and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hydrology, Geology, Earth Sciences, Engineering, or a related field is required
• 5+ years of relevant experience; 8+ years preferred for SGMA work
• Strong communication, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership: coordinate SGMA implementation across multiple Groundwater Sustainability Agencies
• Oversee hydrogeologic models, water balances, numerical models, and client-directed actions
• Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and Groundwater Sustainability Plans (GSPs) and annual SGMA reports
• Quality assurance and quality control on all deliverables
