Rincon Consultants, Inc. seeks a Water Resources Planner/Scientist to support SGMA planning, groundwater, and water resources across California. You will analyze groundwater, hydrologic data, and help develop planning documents, reports, and funding strategies.

Hybrid work setup with opportunities for fieldwork and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams. You will engage with public agencies, contribute to community outreach, and help advance resilient water management.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Two or more years of professional experience in groundwater, water resources, watershed management, hydrology, environmental planning, or related field with SGMA emphasis.

Mansioni

Support SGMA planning and implementation, including Groundwater Sustainability Plans and reporting.
Evaluate groundwater, surface water, and hydrologic data to inform planning and decisions.
Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and planning documents for clients.
Collaborate with hydrogeologists, geologists, engineers, planners and other specialists.
Assist with grant applications and funding strategies for water projects.
Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
