Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Civil, Water Resources, or Geotechnical Engineering Intern to join our team in Denver, CO. This paid summer internship (3-4 months) is for an upper-level student, recent graduate, or graduate student in civil engineering with an interest in dam and water resources projects.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll gain hands-on experience from project planning through field work and client management while contributing to dam and water resources initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil, geological, geotechnical engineering, or related field from an accredited university.
• Excellent technical writing skills with ability to read and understand technical information.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with team members.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, HEC-HMS / HEC-RAS, gINT, or AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong interest in dams and water resources projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering professionals with meeting project deadlines and goals.
• Support projects through desktop research, data collection, analysis, and entry.
• Assist with preparation, review, and organization of technical reports, drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Provide project administration support, including maintaining files, tracking project information, and assisting with coordination and scheduling.
• Participate in fieldwork and perform other assigned duties under the guidance of experienced engineering staff.
