Job summary

CDM Smith in Irvine, CA is seeking an Environmental Engineering Intern to join our Water Services team. You will work with a dynamic group of engineers on municipal, federal, and industrial projects.

As an intern, you will research engineering solutions, assist with documentation and presentations using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CAD and Excel, and may participate in fieldwork to gain full project lifecycle exposure. This role provides mentorship and hands-on experience across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on interest in environmental/water resources engineering is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist in researching engineering solutions and supporting analyses, reporting and design tasks.
• Develop documents and presentations using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CAD, and Excel.
• Support fieldwork for construction management activities to gain full project lifecycle experience.
