Job summary

VHB’s Watertown, MA team is seeking a water resources professional to support water quality and stormwater regulatory planning and compliance. The role involves leading projects, coordinating field investigations, and developing stormwater programs for state and local clients, using ArcGIS Pro/ArcGIS Online and data tools.

Qualifications

• BS in civil/environmental engineering or related discipline; masters may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Min 5+ years of stormwater, water quality, and/or regulatory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead tasks, delegating to others, manage timelines and budgets at the task level.
• Coordinate field investigations including stormwater inspections and water quality sampling.
• Develop stormwater programs for state and local clients to support regulatory compliance.
• Create data tools in ArcGIS Pro/ArcGIS Online (maps, apps).
• Develop methodologies and quality standards for recurring work.
• Prepare and review technical reports and memos for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance, mentoring, and feedback to junior staff.
• Review and edit work products and supervise junior team members.
