Job summary

VHB’s Water Resources group is expanding across New England. We’re seeking a Water Resources Engineer Project Manager to join our hybrid team, leading hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality solutions on projects from site-scale to watershed-scale.

The ideal candidate has a civil/environmental/water resources background, 8 years of experience, a PE license or eligibility within 6 months, and AutoCAD/GIS experience. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental/water resource engineering; master's may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• 8 years of experience required.
• P.E. licensure required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• AutoCAD and GIS experience strongly desired.
• Ideal location is Greater Boston area; role may be based in any New England office.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to provide hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality solutions.
• Conduct and/or lead hydrologic/hydraulic studies, reports, designs, and specs.
• Work with integrated teams to evaluate permits and approvals.
• Mentor team members and foster collaborative learning.
• Identify short- and long-term client goals and track budgets and schedules.
• Assist with business development, proposals, scopes, and fees.
