Job summary

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) seeks a Water Resources Project Manager to lead hydrologic and hydraulic studies, design plans, and permits for diverse water resources projects in a hybrid model.

The role focuses on delivering innovative solutions for stormwater, flood control, and resiliency, with a strong emphasis on client coordination and team leadership. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, a PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and expertise in AutoCAD and GIS,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental/water resource engineering; master's may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• 8 years of experience required.
• P.E. licensure required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• AutoCAD and GIS experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality solutions.
• Conduct and/or lead staff in hydrologic/hydraulic studies, reports, design plans, construction docs, and specs for water resources projects.
• Partner with VHB's integrated team to evaluate permit requirements and prepare applications for approvals.
• Mentor and support team members, expanding their technical expertise and fostering collaborative learning.
• Identify short-term deadlines and long-term client goals; track budgets and schedules to meet deadlines.
• Assist with identifying and pursuing new clients and leverage relationships to provide value to existing clients.
• Lead business development including proposal, scope and fee development.
