Job summary
Black & Veatch has an exciting Water Resources Engineer opening focused on stormwater planning and design, flood control, asset condition assessment, and water supply planning. This hybrid role can be based out of Florida office locations, with opportunities to lead projects and build client relationships across the region.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in water resources planning and design, hands-on modeling experience, and track record in regulatory compliance and business development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of water resources planning and design experience.
- Experience developing and executing water resource planning and design projects.
- Proficiency with modeling and regulatory processes is required.
- Experience with regulatory requirements and procedures.
- Drive client-facing and business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead water resources projects including planning, modeling, and design of stormwater systems.
- Design green infrastructure and sustainable watershed measures, including BMPs.
- Plan and design flood mitigation improvements (dams, levees, reservoirs, pump stations).
- Coordinate SWPPP and regulatory permits for USACE, FEMA, etc.
- Provide mentorship and supervise early-career staff.
- Support growth of planning services across water supply and asset management.
