Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to lead stormwater planning and design, flood control, and condition assessment work in Florida. The role focuses on planning, modeling, and design of water assets, with opportunities to grow the Planning business and manage projects.

The position emphasizes client relationships, regulatory submittals, and collaboration with asset management and master planning efforts across water supply and wastewater domains.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR).
• Experience in water resources planning and design projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of water resources projects including stormwater planning and design.
• Plan and design of green infrastructure and flood mitigation measures.
• Coordinate regulatory compliance and permit submittals (USACE, FEMA).
• Provide business development leadership and build client relationships in the geography.
• Mentor professionals and recruit early-career staff.
