Job summary

TYG in Austin seeks a Water Resources Engineer with 2–6 years of experience to support growing US offices, focusing on hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, drainage design, and floodplain analysis in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The role involves technical analyses, project delivery, and occasional field or construction-phase support, with opportunities to work on municipal, infrastructure, industrial, and federal projects while advancing design and reporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental/water resources engineering or related field.
2–6 years of water resources or H&H experience in drainage or stormwater.
Experience with H&H modeling software such as HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS.
Proficiency with Civil 3D and/or GIS is preferred.
Familiarity with floodplain management and permitting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for stormwater, drainage, and floodplain projects
Design stormwater management and drainage infrastructure
Conduct watershed studies, floodplain analysis, and drainage assessments
Prepare technical reports, calculations, plans, and construction documents
Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams
Support permitting, feasibility studies, and fieldwork as required
