Job summary

TYG in Austin seeks a Water Resources Engineer with 2–6 years of experience to support growing US offices, focusing on hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, drainage design, and floodplain analysis in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The role involves technical analyses, project delivery, and occasional field or construction-phase support, with opportunities to work on municipal, infrastructure, industrial, and federal projects while advancing design and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental/water resources engineering or related field.
• 2–6 years of water resources or H&H experience in drainage or stormwater.
• Experience with H&H modeling software such as HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and/or GIS is preferred.
• Familiarity with floodplain management and permitting is a plus.

Background:

Our client is seeking a Water Resources Engineer with 2–6 years of experience to support the continued growth of their US offices.

This is a strong opportunity for engineers with experience in hydrology and hydraulics (H&H), stormwater management, drainage design, and floodplain analysis who are looking to grow within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The role offers a mix of technical analysis, design, project delivery, and occasional field or construction-phase support.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for stormwater, drainage, and floodplain projects
• Design stormwater management and drainage infrastructure
• Conduct watershed studies, floodplain analysis, and drainage assessments
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, plans, and construction documents
• Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams
• Support permitting, feasibility studies, and fieldwork as required

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources Engineering, or a related discipline
• 2–6 years of experience in water resources, drainage, stormwater, or H&H engineering
• Experience with relevant H&H modeling software such as HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS
• Civil 3D and/or GIS experience preferred
• Experience with floodplain management, drainage studies, and permitting preferred
