Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. in Jefferson, IA is seeking a Water Resources Project Engineer, PE to support design and construction activities on water resources and agricultural drainage projects.

You will assist project managers in detailed design, modeling, and cost estimation, focusing on stormwater and water quality design. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Civil or related field, PE license, and 4+ years of experience with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, plan development, and applicable software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, Biosystems, or Agricultural Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• 4+ years' progressive civil engineering experience including hydraulic/hydrologic modeling.
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and GIS tooling.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed design computations.
• Performs preliminary layout, modeling and design.
• Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Assists with project design and preparation of plans and specifications and prepare cost and quantity take-off estimates.
• Assists with plan reviews, storm water pollution prevention plans, design of storm water facilities, storm water detention and retention design, water quality design, and storm water management planning.
