Job summary

GPD Group is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Akron area team. The role focuses on stream and river restoration, dam-related work, bank stabilization, and green infrastructure across Ohio/Kentucky projects.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, manage field investigations, and assist with budgets and design development for ecological restoration projects. A Civil Engineering degree and PE license are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
Minimum of 1-5 years' experience in ecological restoration and project coordination.
Ability to work with senior engineers/designers and meet deadlines.
Must possess excellent communication skills and thrive in a multi-tasking environment.
Desire to work in the field and assess streams.
CAD/Civil 3D knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Support field investigations, geomorphic assessments, and construction oversight.
Support grading and corridor development.
Support design and construction document development for ecological restoration projects
Design coordination with internal design team.
Collaborate with our internal team of surveyors, H&H modelers, environmental specialists, and geotechnical crew.
Supporting the team in other civil engineering project types, including parks and public infrastructure.
Other job duties as assigned.
