Job summary

GPD Group is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Ohio/Kentucky offices, based in Columbus, OH. You will work with communities on stream and river restoration, dam removals, and green infrastructure, contributing to projects that reduce flood risk and improve ecological function.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, planners, and environmental specialists to deliver design and construction documents, assess streams, and support field investigations across watershed projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years’ experience in ecological restoration and project coordination.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire to work in field and assess streams.
• CAD/Civil 3D knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support field investigations and geomorphic assessments.
• Support grading and corridor development.
• Assist design and construction document development for restoration projects.
• Coordinate design with internal team and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with surveyors, environmental specialists, and geotechnical crew.
