Job summary

CME Associates is seeking a Water Resources Engineer in the Indianapolis area. You will design water and wastewater systems, support senior staff, and evaluate drainage, treatment, and infrastructure projects to meet regulatory standards.

We value collaboration, client management, and mentoring junior engineers. Eligible candidates possess a PE license, 5+ years of relevant public works experience, and strong MS Office skills. Hybrid work options are available and a $5K sign-on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience designing water treatment plants is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in public infrastructure projects related to Water Resources.
• Project and/or Client Management experience is required.
• Ability to guide junior staff on design and detailing of water/wastewater projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Design systems to transport drinking water and/or wastewater.
• Assist senior staff in design of water/wastewater treatment plants.
• Review drainage systems for storm water and floodplains.
• Assess needs for water/wastewater systems based on population projections.
• Analyze water/wastewater treatment technologies and recommend methods.
• Design pumping and force main systems specifications.
• Collaborate with contractors and government agencies.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Prepare feasibility studies and technical reports.
• Provide clients with technical support on water resources issues.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses for projects.
• Assist with RFPs, presentations, and scoping projects.
