Job summary

STV Group is seeking a Water Resources Engineer in New York to join our growing team. You will contribute to stormwater, hydrologic, and hydraulic projects, delivering practical solutions for public-sector and infrastructure clients.

You will perform analyses, build models, and support permitting, project delivery, and client communications. The role requires a strong technical foundation, 4+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with GIS and watershed modeling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources or related field.
• 4+ years in water resources, stormwater, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling or floodplain management.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for watersheds, drainage systems, and floodplains.
• Develop, calibrate, and review hydrologic/hydraulic models.
• Prepare floodplain studies and mapping analyses for flood risk programs.
• Support permitting and coordination with agencies.
• Design stormwater management facilities and drainage systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and prepare technical documents.
• Assist with project scopes, schedules, and client meetings.
