Job summary

Woolpert is seeking a qualified Water Resources professional to advance environmental and water resources projects across Florida. This hybrid role involves field investigations, data collection, and collaboration with engineers, GIS specialists, and data analysts to deliver assessments and designs for stormwater and wastewater systems.

You will contribute to hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, prepare deliverables, and support client needs with data-driven recommendations while maintaining QA/QC

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze technical information and develop sound engineering or scientific recommendations.
  • Ability and willingness to perform outdoor fieldwork in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to travel locally throughout Central Florida and surrounding project areas.
  • Ability to work remotely while maintaining regular availability for fieldwork and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in field investigations, environmental monitoring, and data collection in freshwater, marine, and municipal environments.
  • Independently perform field assignments following procedures, including data collection and site documentation.
  • Support planning, design, analysis, and implementation of stormwater, wastewater, and water resources projects.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, reports, maps, exhibits, and project deliverables.
  • Assist with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, system evaluations, and infrastructure assessments.
  • Use engineering, GIS, and data management tools to support project objectives.
