Job summary

Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc in Atlanta seeks a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join the Surface Water team. The role includes participating in surface water studies, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, design tasks, and exposure to client interactions.

This is not a remote position and offers mentorship and formal training. The candidate should have an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree and be eligible for Engineer-In-Training certification within 12 months,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with surface water modeling and/or design.
• ABET-accredited degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelors or Masters).
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Experience building and calibrating hydraulic/hydrology models (ICPR4, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, SWMM).
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS (AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to surface water management studies and design.
• Perform hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and analysis.
• Assist with flood studies, resiliency and vulnerability assessments.
• Support green infrastructure planning and design.
• Collaborate with team, participate in plan production, and engage with clients.
