Job summary

HDR is seeking an EIT Water Resources in Portland to support design engineers on municipal water resource projects through modeling and analysis. You will focus on hydraulics and hydrology, stormwater modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presenting results to stakeholders.

Responsibilities include design calculations, drafting technical reports, and contributing to flood control, river design, and restoration projects, while embracing HDR’s employee-owned culture and collaborative

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software.
Self-motivated; able to work independently and with a project team.

Responsibilities

Work with project engineers on design engineering and modeling for water resources projects for federal, state and local municipalities.
Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations.
Focus on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source design.
Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies.
Perform other duties as needed.
