HMB Professional Engineers, LLC in Lexington, KY is seeking a Water Resources Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our Water/Wastewater team. You will assist in the design and analysis of water resource projects, perform hydraulic calculations, and support permitting with technical reports and regulatory applications.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in civil engineering, an EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months, and 0–4 years of water resources experience with familiarity

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 0–4 years of experience in water resources engineering (internships or co-op acceptable).
• Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is desirable.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office are required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the design and analysis of water resource projects, including drinking water and sanitary sewer networks.
• Perform hydraulic calculations using modeling software and tools.
• Support permitting efforts by preparing technical reports and regulatory applications.
• Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and data collection for utility design.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, environmental specialists, and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare drawings, maps, specifications, and reports using AutoCAD, GIS, and related software.
• Stay informed about industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
