Job summary

STV seeks a seasoned Water Resource Discipline Lead to guide the PA/NJ group on major infrastructure projects in New Jersey, including NJDOT and NJTA work. The role involves leading design and analysis, permits, and client liaison across multiple offices.

Success requires 15+ years in water resources, NJ PE eligibility, and expertise with OpenRoads, HEC-RAS, and HydroCAD. You will mentor staff and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• 15+ years in water resources with NJDOT/NJTA projects.
• NJ PE license required or eligible within 6 months via reciprocity.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads Drainage & Utilities; modeling/design expertise a plus.
• Knowledge of stormwater regulations and permitting (NJDEP).
• Experience with HEC-RAS and HydroCAD for large infra projects.
• Familiarity with floodplain analysis and bridge hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the PA/NJ Water Resources team including design management and staff development.
• Lead hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and drainage/stormwater system design for transportation projects.
• Oversee environmental permits and construction documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
• Engage with clients, manage project schedules, and ensure milestone delivery.
