Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a Water Resources Design Engineer in Somerset County, NJ. The role involves contributing to municipal water and wastewater projects, reporting to the VP of Water Resources, and working with senior staff on design and conveyance tasks.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering and 5+ years of water resources experience, plus proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, and Project. Travel up to 25% is expected; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

BS in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
5+ years of Water Resources Engineering experience.
Experience with AutoCAD, Excel, and Project.
Municipal water and wastewater treatment experience.
Strong communication skills with clients.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver water/wastewater treatment and conveyance projects, including hydraulic and process evaluations, detailed design, and construction administration.
Prepare reports, design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents.
Monitor and document project progress.
Support project bidding and client meetings.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Participate in field visits and client meetings.
