Job summary

The City of Nampa is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the planning, design, and construction of water renewal projects, reporting to the Water Renewal Capital Projects – Program Manager. This role combines office work with field oversight to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities include developing scope, budgets and schedules; managing contracts with design professionals, consultants and contractors; maintaining project documentation; reviewing progress for compliance; and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction contracts and project management; water/wastewater experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and use new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop scope of work, budgets, and schedules for construction of public works projects.
• Manage contracts with design professionals, consultants, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
• Maintain files and project history on city server.
• Review expenditures to ensure budgets are met and compliance with approvals.
• Coordinate with staff, contractors, and agencies to solve construction issues.
• Prepare project reports and update staff on progress.
• Review plans and progress for compliance with standards and methods.
• Ensure work activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
