Job summary

The City of Nampa is seeking a Capital Maintenance Supervisor for the Water and Irrigation Division. You will supervise, plan, review, and evaluate the domestic and irrigation work to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and Federal and State rules.

The role works on site at municipal lands with exposure to hazards, under the Water Assistant Superintendent. Ideal candidates have leadership experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of water systems, with required licenses

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED; required.
• Experience: 4+ years maintenance/trade/construction; 2+ years leadership/supervisory experience.
• Certifications: Idaho Class A Driver’s License with Tanker/Combo and air brake endorsements; Water Distribution II License; Water Distribution III License within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Plans, leads, and evaluates the work of assigned personnel with performance reviews.
• Operates and maintains water line installations and services per ISPWC standards.
• Responds to emergencies; coordinates with authorities to minimize damage and outages.
• Installs and tests new construction meter sets and hydrants; performs preventative maintenance.
