City of Fargo seeks an Operator Apprentice/Operator II–IV to perform maintenance and operate pumps at the Water Reclamation Facility and ERF. You will monitor equipment, implement changes, and assist in planning and repairs to ensure EPA and NDPDES targets are met.

Rotating shifts include days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. You will train other staff, manage records, and participate in state-of-the-art systems while following department rules and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Ability to document work and follow SOPs.
• Willingness to gain ND certifications as required.
• Ability to read and write logs and records in English.
• Interest in learning wastewater plant operations and safety rules.

Responsabilités

• Assist supervisor in organizing work unit activities and reports.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures for activities.
• Maintain records, complete work orders, and use software systems.
• Identify equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or notify supervisor.
• Operate pumps and process equipment to control flow and meet targets.
