Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent is required for Apprentice.
• No North Dakota Water Treatment System Operator Certificate is required for Apprentice level.
• Progression to Operator I–IV requires appropriate ND certifications and/or education.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in organizing daily operational activities and maintenance.
• Operate/monitor pumps and process equipment to control water flow.
• Perform laboratory tests and adjust chemical feeds per procedures.
• Maintain safety practices and assist with training of other staff.
• Report equipment issues and participate in routine record-keeping.
