Job summary

The San Antonio Water System is seeking a Supervisor - Resource Protection and Compliance to oversee daily operations of water quality programs and direct personnel responsible for inspection and monitoring to ensure compliance with potable water, pretreatment, source water protection, and storm water regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
• Five years' program management experience, including supervising personnel.
• Demonstrated leadership in potable water, recycled water, stormwater, or related areas.
• Proficient with word processing, databases, presentation tools, modeling, and GIS software.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and reviews activities of staff performing audits, inspections, and surveys for regulatory compliance.
• Develops SOPs and QA/QC procedures for inspection and monitoring activities.
• Leads cross‑functional teams on environmental issues affecting public health and the environment.
• Prepares reports and correspondence for agencies and stakeholders.
• Oversees section budgets, staffing, and resource use.
• Trains and evaluates personnel.
