Job summary

Level I covers routine inspections while Level II handles more complex inspections and detailed regulatory reporting; both require occasional emergency standby and compliance with safety certifications. This role offers career progression within Mesa's Water Resources Division.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; three years' technical water resources experience.
• Two years of college coursework (12 credit hours environmental/physical/biological science) may substitute for one year of experience.
• Valid Class D Arizona Driver's License at hire; Grade I ADEQ certification within one year; 40-hour HazWOPER certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine water quality inspections to support regulatory programs.
• Assist with data collection, reporting, and regulator coordination.
• Support backflow/cross-connection inspections and related documentation.
