Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Water Project Supervisor to join our Water Project Team in Bridgeport, NJ. The on-site role oversees Environmental Technicians across multiple water project sites and supports upcoming water construction projects in New Jersey.

Moderate travel to CONUS and international locations as needed. The role emphasizes health and safety, competitive pay, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in environmental studies preferred.
• Experience with water treatment and wastewater systems preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisor experience preferred.
• Water certifications are a plus.
• Valid and clean driver’s license/MVR acceptable.
• Knowledge of RCRA requirements/regulations.
• Understanding of manpower and equipment needs for assignments.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• 24 hour on-call availability.
• Strong mechanical ability preferred.
• Knowledge of chemicals preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, EPA waste codes, manifesting and LDR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Supervises multiple employees on water projects.
• Maintains and submits required paperwork after project operations are completed.
• Ensures supervised operations staff meets all compliance standards.
• Maintains a clean work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
