Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. seeks an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily water and wastewater system operations, directing field staff and responding to outages and customer issues.

You will supervise maintenance, monitor SCADA, ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and coordinate with contractors. The role emphasizes leadership development and collaborative teamwork within a regulated utility environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. ADEQ Grade IV in Water Distribution and/or Treatment preferred.
• Five to ten years’ experience with increasing responsibilities in water/wastewater operations; leadership/supervisory experience a plus.
• Arizona locations require an ADEQ Grade IV certification and a valid driver’s license; CDL may be required.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily direction, coordination, and supervision of field staff in water/wastewater system operations.
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, and installations on water distribution and sewer facilities; ensure SOPs are followed.
• Manage SCADA systems operations, data collection, reporting, and alarm responses.
• Coordinate with contractors, inspect work, and ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards.
